OUR STORY
It Started With a Bell
I was visiting my mom during college. She was hemiplegic — unable to move on her own. She lived with my sister, who was her primary caregiver.
My mom had a bell she used to call for help.
One afternoon, she rang it. From the laundry room, my sister called back: “Coming!”
My mom didn’t hear her.
After a minute, my mom turned to me and said: “See how she doesn’t answer. See how long she takes.”
I sat with that moment.
My sister wasn’t ignoring her. She had answered. She was on her way. My mom just didn’t know.
That gap — between a call sent and a call received — was causing real pain. Not because anyone was doing anything wrong. But because there was no way for either of them to know the other had heard.
I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
What if, instead of a bell, my mom had a button? And what if that button connected to a pager my sister carried? And what if, when my sister acknowledged the call, my mom could see it — right there on her device?
The anxiety on both sides would disappear. My mom would know she was heard. My sister would know my mom knew help was coming.
That was the idea that became Argus Care.
Why We Exist
The Problem We Saw
After that moment with my mom, I started looking for solutions already on the market. I couldn’t find any. Not a single product that closed that loop — that let a care recipient know their call was received, and let a caregiver acknowledge it quietly without waking the whole house. So I decided to build it.
The People We’re Building For
Because I know my family isn’t the only one living with this gap. Millions of caregivers and care recipients around the world face the same invisible friction every day — the missed bell, the unheard answer, the anxiety on both sides. Argus Care exists to bridge that gap. To make sure everyone involved in caregiving feels confident, calm, and connected.
What We’re Building
Argus Care started as a button and a pager.
But the vision is bigger.
We’re building an AI-powered caregiving system that gives every person involved — the recipient, the caregiver, the family — exactly what they need to feel calm and in control.
Works without internet. No monthly fees. No complexity.
And over time, proactively watches for risks before anyone even has to call.
Technology should reduce anxiety. Not add to it. Every feature we build will be measured against that standard.
