OUR STORY
It Started With a Bell
I was visiting my mom during college. She was hemiplegic — unable to move on her own. She lived with my sister, who was her primary caregiver.
My mom had a bell. She used it to call for help.
One afternoon, she rang it. From the laundry room, my sister called back: “Coming!”
My mom didn’t hear her. After a minute, she turned to me. “See how she doesn’t answer,” she said. “See how long she takes.”
I sat with that moment. My sister wasn’t ignoring her. She’d answered. She was on her way. My mom just didn’t know it.
That gap — between a call sent and a call received — was causing real pain. Not because anyone was doing anything wrong. But because neither of them had any way to know the other had heard.
I couldn’t stop thinking about it. What if, instead of a bell, my mom had a button? What if that button reached a pager my sister carried? And what if, the moment my sister acknowledged the call, my mom could see it — right there on her own device?
The anxiety on both sides would disappear. My mom would know she’d been heard. My sister would know my mom knew help was coming.
That was the idea that became Argus Care.

OUR MISSION
Why We Exist
The Problem We Saw
When I started looking for a solution, I expected to find one. I didn’t. What existed were emergency pendants built for a single alert, or intercoms that solved sound but not certainty. Nothing closed the gap I’d watched open between my mom and my sister. So I decided to build it myself.
The People We're Building For
My mom and my sister weren’t a special case. Millions of families live inside that same gap every day — someone who needs help, and someone trying to give it, with no reliable way to know the other has heard. Argus Care exists so that everyone in the caregiving relationship — the person receiving care, the person giving it, and the family watching from afar — can feel confident, calm, and connected.
OUR VISION
What We're Building
Argus Care started as a button and a pager. But that’s just the beginning.
The vision is a complete AI-powered caregiving system — built for the person receiving care, the person giving it, and the family watching from afar. It works without an internet connection. No monthly fees. No complexity to manage.
Over time, it will do more than respond to calls. It will proactively watch for risk, so problems get caught before anyone has to call at all.

Technology should reduce anxiety, not add to it.
